I look forward to seeing you all...  after high school I migrated north to Rutgers University for undergraduate... but couldn't stop until I completed the Ph.D. in clinical psychology... then south to Virginia Beach and a professorship @ Old Dominion Univ and then private practice for the last 25 years. Am blessed with two wonderful daughters--Kate, resident physician in pediatrics and Paige, a junior @ Hollins Univ (majoring in everything).  Married in Oct 06 to "Connie" - the best thing that's ever happened to me.  We enjoy golf, motorcycling, snow & water skiing, hiking, family time, friends and church fellowship.   (I'm rummaging through all storage spaces and closets for my old saddle shoes.) Calistoga CA Attorney www.colbrook.com Married
Life’s been good to me so far! Post-WCHS: Georgetown School of Foreign Service, banking, and law school at UMD … DC private practice then in-house in VA, AZ and finally CA since ’86.  Meeting and staying married to [now 22 yrs] my wife Piper Cole made me the luckiest guy in the world.  We’ve traveled the world for business and pleasure [see our latest on our site] and also enjoy wine, dining, cooking, gardening, petanque, croquet … and each other.  We’re the only children we could ever manage, working in Silicon Valley and now transplanted to Napa Valley. I’ve had legal and business roles in many leading/bleeding edge technology companies over the years [PC retail, Internet services, SCM software, wine/e-commerce, telecom, digital audio, healthcare] and recently went public in a Web 2.0/SaaS company. Start-ups/turnarounds/ restarts - lots of deals; lots of M&A. It’s always for fun, even when it isn’t. Piper [also a lawyer] was VP Global Public Policy at Sun Microsystems - now retired and writing her book on corporate public policy for the next stage of her career, but ‘retirement’ is not in my vocabulary.  Best to everyone!  When you get the chance … I hope you dance! Bethesda Maryland Attorney/Businessman Divorced 1
After graduation from Churchill I went to Northwestern University (which I absolutely loved), then to George Washington University Law School (love is not what I would call it), then I worked in Austria for a year, then 2 years  attending the Iran Center For Management Studies in Tehran where I got an MBA with a focus on dong business in developing countries. I got run over by a bus while in Iran and could not walk for about a year but fully recovered and returned to the DC area where I went to work for a law firm practicing energy law and eventually set up my own firm. Along the way I have several  "side" businesses which for the most part lost money but have had some offsetting advantages, e.g.  for years I owned a small wine importer and distributor in the DC area and last year I helped set up a joint venture in China for a new massive winery.
I have a 15 year old daughter who decided last year that she wanted to live with me full-time.  I moved back to Bethesda so she could attend Walt Whitman High School with her friends. Living in a house with a teenage daughter has been a reawakening experience since for the previous 6 years I lived in the Sofitel Hotel in DC directly across the street from my office. I have been very lucky in or with a variety of things but nothing compares to the luck I have had in being a father.

Belcamp Maryland Night Vision Married 2

Several great things have happened to me since graduating from Churchill, I have been maried for 35 years to the love of my life, Brigid, an Elementary School Counselor in Joppatowne, MD. We have two children, Mary an environmental engineer and Jack working in Sports Management, my father, Colonel is still with us at age 89. I work for L-3 Communications making Night Vision goggles which help save our Warfighter's lives everynight in Iraq and Afganistan. Worked for Dave Shrum (class of '68) before Electro-Optical Systems was sold to L-3 Communications. From the photos on the website most of you have aged better than I. I spend most of my time between Tempe, AZ and Garland, TX with a few days in Belcamp, MD with my bride. Retirement will be paced by Brigid who seems a long way from the rocking chair. Cheers

Wasilla AK Retired Married 2

41 years OMG!

Where does the time go? My apologies for the tardiness of this entry - over a year late! I attended the reunion and enjoyed it so much - had to reconnect.

After my junior year at Churchill my Dad was transferred to CA with his job. Our family settled into the sleepy picturesque town of Solvang, 30 miles east of Santa Barbara. I graduated from Santa Ynez Valley Union HS and married my HS sweetheart, Bryan, 2 years after graduation. He was a Navy man at the time and I was a student at Santa BarbaraCityCollege. We moved to San Jose for school in early 70’s and then followed a dream to Alaska. We spent 5 years in Naknek, a fishing village in the Bristol Bay region of the state where my husband worked as a pilot and I worked at the borough offices. It was a life lesson on the uniqueness of living in a remote village with no stores, no phones, no roads, no sirens, no gangs, abundant fish & game, amazing glimpses of nature and of people with simple life values. In ’78 we relocated back to SB with two infants and worked and went to school. The call to return to Alaska took us back in early 80’s this time to Wasilla. I continued working on my degree and working part time while raising our two sons. Bryan worked a week on and a week off managing the remote ColdBay station of Peninsula Airways.

Today our sons are married and have families of their own. Brent is a commercial pilot for PenAir and Justin is a 3rd year resident at ProvidenceHospital in Anchorage specializing in family med. I have retired after 20 years in local government, most recently after 7 years at the City of Wasilla as an assistant planner.  Bryan now commutes to his office in Anchorage, approx 50 miles south of Wasilla via his Piper Cherokee, where he is VP/Director of Ops for PenAir, the largest state regional airline.

I enjoyed the reunion so much even though I didn’t get to visit with all of you. It proved to be an emotional trip for me not having been back to DC in over 40 years; memories of a simpler time, of family and dear friends came flooding back. Thank you to all who made the reunion possible and for your hard work and dedication. I look forward to reconnecting with many of you – if Alaska is in your travel plans please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Potomac MD Retired Computer Programmer Married 1
I don't remember turning 40 years old, how can it possibly be time for a 40th reunion!  My thanks to everyone who has put this reunion together and those who persisted in locating people.  I'm married with one son (Churchill class of 2007) and an Italian greyhound.  I graduated from VCU and taught art for a few years before discovering computers. I went back to school for a technical degree and began a career in mainframe software and application development.  I'm now retired from the paid workforce and do volunteer work.
