After Churchill, I earned a BA in Fine Arts from BYU, then a MA in Human Resource Development from GW.  I've lived in the DC area my entire life!  After graduation, I worked for the Department of the Navy in the Education and Training Field, heading up the Navy's  career development program for procurement personnel.  Newly retired, I now have more time to pursue my real love, classical music.  I'm a soloist in my church choir, and sing with the Choral Arts Society of Washington.  In my spare time, I am an avid gardener and birdwatcher.  Hope to see some old friends at the reunion!

Comment:
After graduating from Churchill, I attended the University of Maryland and then Trinity College.  I've been fortunate to have had a couple of very interesting jobs--first during the 70's at The Washington Post where I worked with Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein.  In 1980 I moved to the Washington bureau of ABC News and am now Director of Bureau Operations.  It's a demanding job but never dull!  I enjoy its variety, the incredible people I work with and the opportunities it's offered me over the years.  I never left the Washington area and now live in Falls Church, Virginia with my (second) husband Jim whose background is in commercial real estate.  We've been happily married for the past 14 years and, although we don't have children of our own, are very close to our two teenage godchildren who live nearby.  Both Jim and I participate in charitable activities for children--he's establishing a baseball league for handicapped children in Montgomery County and I work with two organizations affiliated with Georgetown Hospital that improve the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses.  I also direct regional volunteer activities for The Walt Disney Company which owns ABC.  I look forward to reconnecting with everyone at the reunion--many thanks to the organizers for all they've done to make it happen!

FORTY YEARS, now this'll test the old brain cells! WCHS to VaTech (1 yr, I didn't care much for the male to co-ed ratio of 11-1). Off to U of MD, where I graduate. Then play and work and play at the Raleigh Inn in Bethesda. Become a manager and move to Dallas, Tx. to manage Bennigan's Restaurants. Homesick and tired of Cowboy fans, we move to No. Va. to sell new homes for Fairfield Homes. Become a Division Manager/ VP. Another career change, this time to mortgage banker for Norwest Mortgage, which becomes Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Become the builder branch manager and build (pun intended) Wells' most profitable builder branch! After 14 glorious years and just prior to the sub prime mess, I retire in Oct. '05. And no I don't have any problem sleeping at night as Wells had virtually no expose to sub prime loans. Unfortunately, Wells was guilty by association.    Life hasn't been all work and no play. I met the one and only Mrs. B.,Vanessa, at the Raleigh Inn. We have four great kids, Erin, Alison, Kelsey and Peyton. The oldest two are out of college and working nice jobs locally. Erin just got married to a wonderful guy in April. Our other two are in college, Peyton starts this August. With our soon to be empty nest we'll be able to spend more time at our second home on Deep Creek Lake in Western Md., where we also own some acreage. It is here that we enjoy a host of outdoor activities from golf to boating, four wheeling to snowmobiling  and fishing to hunting.   To quote K. Brooks, "Life has been good so far", as if complaining would do any good. Looking forward to reliving some of the good times we had back in the day when we thought that life couldn't get any better than it was then..... Who knew!

I own a small courier company, specializing in the medical field. As it turns out, I seem to be a workaholic, but I have recently joined a 12 step group....My wife is a Graphic Designer, working with a local company. Looking forward to seeing everyone and swapping life's stories. I still play the trumpet and am involved with two local jazz bands.

The summer of 1967 I lost one of my closet friends which sent me on the meaning of life journey and a roller coaster ride. I've been lucky enough to have experienced both the many highs and lows life has to offer. And was able to do and see things I had only dreamed about. One of my regrets was I had never attended any of the reunions until this one. I do keep in touch with my "little sister" Beth Corbin and have visited her in Albuquerque, NM. I own a small website development company and search engine optimizing firm. And after three divorces I've found I'm not cut out for a long term relationship. But I do have two wonderful daughters from the second one.

Occupation: Admin. Law Judge
Comment:
After Churchill, I went to Kenyon College, then spent 6 mos. putting my poli. sci. degree to good use mindlessly assembling computers in Silicon Valley, but then got the payoff -- 3 mos. mostly hitchiking in Europe and 3 in Morocco. I started law school days after my return, which was quite a culture shock and not as much fun.  After law school, I worked for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for many yrs. in DC, with a short stint at the US Atty's office in DC.  A Damascus girl foolishly agreed to marry me in 1983, and we're still married 25 years later with no kids.  In 1988, I finally persuaded her that San Fran. wasn't so bad, so we moved out here for my work with the NRC.  However, as you recall, Al Gore reinvented govt.  In the process, NRC's CA office was reinvented out of existence in 1994.  Luckily for me, the Soc. Sec. Admin. was looking for Administrative Law Judges, and I've been judgmental ever since, starting in San Diego for 6 mos. and then to Oakland.  My wife works for Williams-Sonoma.  I love living in paradise, travel, gardening, cooking, and eating and drinking things that are bad for me.  I began downhill skiing at age 45 after avoiding it for years due to a horrendous experience in HS.  Unfortunately, the skiing is repeatedly interrupted by work, but that hasn't stopped us from skiing all over the West and in France and Switzerland.  Just after the reunion, which I hope to attend, we're going to add another continent, skiing in Chile.
